I guess what I'd be sayin' is there ain't no better reason
to rid yourself of vanities and just go with the seasons
it's what we aim to do
our name is our virtue
to rid yourself of vanities and just go with the seasons
it's what we aim to do
our name is our virtue
Sorrow sat, her smokey gray fur turning more and more white by the second as the snow fell lightly all around her. She had no idea whether it snowed down in the Valley as well- she wasn't too high up in the mountains, but she was high enough so that the temperature could be at least two or three degrees than down on lower ground.
There was a reason she sat, shivering in the cold- she had come up here to think in solidarity. She had spent much too long alone, and now she was addicted; she needed to be alone to be able to think clearly.
I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
So I drew a new face and I laughed
She was so happy here. Sorrow had finally found a place where she could belong- a pack, and one that would only grow and become stronger. She made a small puff of her breath, and it fogged around her- she laughed and nuzzled the warm air it had made until it disappeared. Sorrow was finally happy.
Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and you'll be free
Look into your heart and you will find that the sky is yours
But she had one small problem, if you could call it a problem. She had found love, for the first time since her mother died. Thunder, the rugged, free-spirited male who had also recently joined the Putnar. Like her, he was still getting used the the "large pack" thing, but Sorrow could tell he didn't like it as much as she did. So she had befriended him, and they spent much time together. The gray-black she-wolf sighed and looked up at the clouded sky, letting the wind whip her face and bring tears to the corners of her eyes. Sorrow didn't think Thunder had the same feelings for her as she did for him, but for now it was enough just to be his friend. She could wait, but not for much longer- Sorrow's cloudy blue eyes shone with a new determination as she stood up, shaking the cold melted snow off her pelt. I'm yours, Thunder, she thought.
Because our time is short
I can't hesitate anymore,
This is our fate,
I'm yours.
I can't hesitate anymore,
This is our fate,
I'm yours.
