After a Blizzard passed through, the Forest looked like a mess. Because of the cold tempature, Mero's flowers had died. The Den was caved in with snow. Ku knew he was going to do alot of cleaning up. " Well I mind as well start digging so we can get inside the Den." he said. Mero nodded, "I will get us a kill to feed on for today." Mero started off into the brush. Her huge paws sank in the powdery snow. " It must have snowed atleast two feet." She thought to herself. The scent of prey was very weak. Mero's nose became chilled in the search for a scent. She unnoticeably stood on a cliff to catch sight of any prey. "Nothing." A crumble was heared beneath her. The snow broke beneath her feet. Unable to react, Mero slid into th frozen river below. With the river frozen, Mero didn't get wet. She sighed with relief that she was dry, if she had gotten wet in this weather, she would freeze. THen it popped in her mind, " Why don't I howl out to other wolves to see if they've seen any prey." Mero gathered a lung full of air and released a deep howl.

Kana lay with in my cave, knowing that she would die soon, and need to let the souls of these lands that still knew her, know. She would die like a spirit, slow but quick. Black body with golden faded tips shook hard, her body had aged but she still had the power of the elder, and as my younger self, just not the aderance. Kana looked around knowing a blizzard was coming, and it went like a new moon.
As kana looked outside she notice there was a good two feet of snow if not more. She remembered how she used to play in this stuff as a pup, but at the same time she met her old mate here, Yasu. She remembered his pale body, white as snow with his deep blue eyes, how she loved him. One pup was produce one that kana couldnt stand, sense Scarlet saw the fight with another wolf. Scarlet tried to turn against her mother, which ended horrible, scarlet got a nice wound across her eye, and kana banned from seeing her again. She lives among the moutains now, up high on devils pass.
Kana's ears perked up quickly, a noice? It sounded like Mero.... Kana got up quick leeping out from the snow and rushed to the sound, she got up onto what she thought was a rock and let out a loud deep howl toward Mero. She soon stopped after running out of breath, and looked around to see any prey around, then answered again, as a low deep howl again, no prey my way.
She saw mero on the lake bed, it was pure ice. She hopped off the rock and landed in the snow making her way slowly over to the lake bed, and looked at mero, boy she sure had grown. "Mero, its nice to see you again."Kana spoke again kind elder words came quick, while a gentle look came upon her face. She waited for Mero to talk, better yet reconize Kana.

(Sorry for the late post)
Mero's face softened as the kind words of a familiar friend entered her ears. Looking up to her elder, she gracefully nodded her head and kept her tail low. "I slipped." Mero said smiling. She slid towards the dry ground to get off the frozen water. Looking back, she see's what looked like she fell from an avalanche. "I will have to take the long way home I guess." she muttered under her breath. But forgeting her disbenefit, she turned and smiled at Kana, " Since I'm here, do you have plans?"

Kana looked toward Mero, boy did she grow. Kana remembered her as a pup, and how she saved this pup numerous times... well most of the time. Kana's old blue eyes stared at the young wolf. She would grow strong she hoped for, but better yet she only wished for the best for Mero. Kana looked around seeing know one in sight, but only her and mero. Mero's words came again: "I will have to take the long way home I guess."
Kana only chuckled at her words, she was getting tired, growing old in age, and soon would be no more to this world. " Since I'm here, do you have plans?"
Kana's head tilted, ears perked and and a curious look came over her facade. "Well no my dear, why do you ask?" Kana replied with a hint of entertainment, and joy. She always loved helping others, even when it was in times of danger.

Kana's kind, yet wise, personality always encouraged Mero. " Ku is waiting for me to return with a kill tonight so I don't have too much time, but do you have the energy to go on a stroll?"

I couldn't feel my legs. The coldness was so intense, I just wanted to scream out, "Kill me! I can't stand another second in this freezing wasteland!" I was shaking, every single square inch was. The cold was setting in...
"Gah! I'm cold everywhere I can imagine!" Kuma squealed, shivering quite fiercely. That's when she opened her eyes. Everything was white, she couldn't see at all. "I'm blind!" Kuma screamed. She then pounced forward and lept (in a very clumsy matter) into a pile of snow. Kuma couldn't believe her eyes. Every square inch was covered in a cold, powdery substance. Snow. She was up to her knees in this snow and even though her legs worked fie, she could tear her eyes from the beauty that Mother Nature had behold upon them. The trees were bending over the weight of the snow, and only a thin sliver of it's rain darkened bark shown through. The river was frozen, the ice a beauty that Kuma thought was impossible. "Mero, what is all of this! I can't smell any prey!" Kuma said quickly, her voice quivering with excitement. The nearest prey-scent was a rabbit's that was at least three days old. That's when Kuma realized she was still shivering. She looked around for any heat source in vain, thinking that she was the only one who was cold.

Mero gentley padded up to Kuma. " Don't stare at th snow too long, or your eye's will hurt." She said. " How have you been? I haven't seen you since we arrived in the Valley." The memory flashed through her mind. Time has flown since the Wolves arrived in Putnar. Some wolves have seemed to forget how fortunate they were to live here. Because, outside, was a cruel, merciless world.
